DON’T FORGET TO RING THE BELL TEN (10) MINUTES BEFORE YOU USE THE MANUAL TRAPS TO ALLOW FISHERMAN TIME TO CLEAR OUT FROM THE STREAM.

All ranges are under 24-hour camera surveillance.

The shotgun facilities consist of three automatic traps. Two of them are standard automatic American traps and one is a Wobble trap. The Wobble trap is designed for modified International trap shooting. Two manual traps are also mounted on the trap range.

Use of the automatic traps is restricted to Club sponsored trap shoots, such as the Friday night shoots, the Winter League shoots and the October Hunter shoots.

The manual traps are available with shooting hours the same as of the other outdoor ranges. When using the manual traps you must ring the bell located between trap #2 & #3 ten (10) minutes prior to shooting. Any fishermen must move to another area. A shotgun patterning target is available to the east and behind the side of trap #3. Birdshot/pellets only no slugs!

Guests are permitted to shoot on the trap range only at a league shoots and other Club sponsored events. A release form must be signed by all guests shooting in Club sponsored activities.

A few Reminders

As a reminder to all members, the minimum age for unsupervised shooters is 18 years of age. This applies to rifles, shotguns, handguns, and archery. Anyone under the age of 18 participating in any of these actions must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

WARNING!!!

When using the manual traps the shooter MUST stand next to the trap, NOT behind the trap house. Even if the person working the trap is below the trap house it is a safety issue. So please cooperate and be safe.

Second, it has been brought to our attention that some members are using pistol grip shotguns to shoot from manual traps. This is ok, but please be mindful of other members present and do not wave the gun around or chamber a round by shaking the gun just holding onto the fore-end, movie style. This is unnerving and unnecessary when shooting trap.
